Back in Sinoper

Wendy

Wendy: I put on the little yellow fanny  bag so it wouldn't be all red and to make it more casual, less matchy.

Sandy: I like it better without the bag.

London Red II

Sandy Still in Red
Sandy: Still in love with variations of this outfit.
The bag says NDS Airways as if I'm taking off...

London Red

Sandy in Red

Wendy: And you made fun of me for wearing a lot of red!

Sandy: I never said I don't like red.

This color makes me think of London. I've never been but I know what I'll be wearing if I go.

This… I guess you could call it a dress… is second hand and apparently it's french kids wear. Or the french are tiny. It almost fit me so I opened the turns to get the crucial few centimeters and moved the buttons around to make it look almost not-weird. I also cut off the cuffs and reattached them lower. That's a good trick and no-one will ever know.

A couple days back I found this canvas bag that is the exact same colour! The colour bytheway is neon red, I haven't fiddled with the colour in photoshop at all. (My spell check is complaining about my spelling of colour. How sad.)

Maybe it's the colour that's reminding me of london. It's as red as a telephone booth.

Wendy: Or a double decker.
Twins?

Identical!

Shortskirt

Wendy

Wendy: It looks like a skirt, it walks like a skirt but it is not a skirt.

I went to an actual shop that's not second hand which I haven't  done in ages. And I found something that made me forget my Scrooge-like attitude towards spending more than 5 euros - these amazing shorts! They are great for avoiding that Marilyn effect.
Yes, these are shorts!

A Bright Blond

Wendy

Wendy: I don't like this dress as much as the majority of my clothes. I just bought it because I quickly needed something easy and comfortable to wear in the summer heat.

Despite the bright color it lacks that umph. I discovered that turquoise is not the easiest color to accessorize. I came up with a red solution.

Sandy: Naturally, since all your accessories are red.

SlutWalk

Sandy SlutWalk
Sandy: This is what I wanted to wear to the SlutWalk.

Sandy SlutWalk II

And this is what I actually wore because it was raining.

I wore my sluttiest clothes but it was still something I could very well have been wearing to a bar. But that was kind of the point too. The SlutWalk was a demonstration against putting blame on rape victims ie. for what they were wearing.

Freedom to wear what you want what better reason to march!

Polka Pig / Old Lady

Wendys accessories

Wendy

Sandy: Do you think you have enough red and white accessories there, sis? You look like Polka Gris or Marianne candy.

Wendy: I have a sweet tooth. I made the 'Polka Gris' necklace myself from those beads.

Sandy: You are imitating Nelliinas style quite well.

Wendy: Isn't getting inspired the whole point of reading style blogs? Besides, there can only be one Nelliina.
Sandy

Wendy: I see you're wearing your old lady skirt.

Sandy: I was surprised to hear you don't like this skirt. I think the colour is amazingly vibrant. Yes, the fabric is completely synthetic but the skirt is loose so it's not uncomfortable. The lenght is rather unflattering, I first thought I would trim the hem but the material might be a challenge for a regular sowing machine. It might strech and curl. It's second hand and propably self-made. Nice to think that someones handywork isn't going to waste after they've stopped wearing it themselves. So I wore really high heels (not in the picture) to balance out the granny hemline.

Fat Camp

Wendy: This is the same outfit as in the previous post but I wanted to show the car in the background. It's yellow <3

Sandy: You wear that dress a lot. I bet you're not wearing it today only because it's in the laundry.

Wendy: And how long have you been wearing those jeans, my dear sister the fashion blogger? That dress is very versatile. It can be completely casual everyday wear but it can also be worn at a party. When I don't have any idea how fancy a dress I should wear I wear this. If everyone else is wearing jeans I don't seem overdressed but if others are in finer attire I'm wearing a party dress, right?

And it's a good thing too 'cause right now this is the only dress that fits me. And before you start telling me I shouldn't worry about my weight, how it's shallow and anti-feminist, I don't. (Sandy: You shouldn't, your boobs are getting bigger too.) I only worry about my clothes. My favourite clothes that I've had for years! Or my new clothes, only worn a couple of times pre-fat arse.

Sandy: But you look exactly as you did before!

Wendy: I know! At first I thought that my clothes have shrunk but they haven't, it's me! So I look fine but soon naked for I will run out of clothes to wear! And You know what, this is ironic because when I was a teen a wished so hard I had had more curves.

Sandy: Nothing worse than a wish come true.

Wendy: In fact, I could not fit into this dress if Sandy hadn't made it bigger for me. She has made some other clothes bigger too. Maybe we should write a tutorial about it. It's not possible with all clothes but many older clothes have plenty of extra in the seams and when you buy second hand they're often not the right size.

Everyone Will Be Famous For Fifteen Minutes

Wendy
Sandy:Hi, I'm Sandy. I've been reading some fabulous personal style blogs and now gathered enough courrage to start writing one of my own. The first picture though is of my sister Wendy.

Wendy: Why did you give it that title? Do you think you're going to be famous now?

Sandy: Not FAMOUS famous. I was just trying to say that trough blogs everyone can now express their 'artist persona' even if they are not artists. Or movie stars.

Wendy: Oh. Well then you should have written that. Otherwise people might think you're an egomaniac.

Sandy: I'm typing, I'm typing... And so what if people think that? This is my special place. My domain.

Wendy: They will think you are egoistic with that banner. Why doesn't it have my name on it? I'm in the picture...

Sandy: well, it was taken by me.

Wendy: So? "What Katy Wore" is named after Katy.

Sandy: Do you want your name on the banner?

Wendy: No, I was just making a point...
